In view of the current
Coronavirus crisis and the latest significant measures announced by Government,
we have taken the decision to postpone all of our planned events as part of
Down’s Syndrome Awareness Week (15-22 March). Our priority right now has
to be on focusing all of our available resources on supporting families and
people with Down’s syndrome at this very challenging and concerning time.
We are very grateful to
all of our supporters and community fundraisers who raise vital funds that
allow us to do our work across Scotland and we hope that all of you will join
us later in the year when we will return to celebrating all things Down’s
syndrome in Scotland. For those of you keeping our spirits up with your
wonderful videos and pictures online, please keep going – they are welcome
moments of relief in these difficult times.
All of our staff are now
working from home and our office in Edinburgh is closed for the time
being. You can still contact us on 0300 030 2121 and we are prioritising
calls around family support. We are updating our website with new
information as it becomes available. You can find information and resources about Coronavirus here.
