RunAcross UK Smashes their Fundraising Target

The RunAcross UK team have smashed their initial fundraising target of £10,000 before their run has even begun!

RunAcross UK has been organised by 20-year-old student Iris Hammond, the team will take on a relay run from Land’s End to John O’Groats starting on World Down’s Syndrome Day (21st March) raising money for Down’s Syndrome Scotland and the Down’s Syndrome Association.

Iris has assembled a team of runners from all walks of life across the UK, many of whom do not have a connection with Down’s syndrome. Iris’s inspiration for the event is her little sister Nancy she says, “Viewing the world through Nancy’s eyes is one of the most beautiful parts of my life. She has taught me patience, kindness and uncondictional love.”

They are currently sitting at a fundraising total of £10,902. You can support them here: https://www.justgiving.com/team/runacross
